How to sign "with" in ASL
How to Sign "With"
“With” is signed by bringing both hands into “A” handshapes (fists) and touching the knuckles together:
- Form the letter “A” with both hands (thumbs on the side of the fists).
- Bring your fists together so the knuckles meet, close to your chest.
Tips
- Think of two things coming together — “with” someone or something.
- Hands should meet evenly, not off-center.
Common Mistakes
- Using open hands instead of “A” handshape.
- Not touching the hands together — contact is important.
Think: “Two together — you’re with me.”
