How to sign "good" in ASL
How to Sign "Good"
“Good” is signed by bringing one hand from your chin to your other hand, like offering something pleasant:
- Place the fingertips of your dominant hand at your chin (palm facing in).
- Move your hand outward and down to land palm-up on your non-dominant hand.
Tips
- Imagine you're giving someone something nice from your mouth — that’s “good.”
- Keep the motion smooth, like a gentle offering.
Common Mistakes
- Starting the sign away from the chin — it must begin at the mouth.
- Forgetting to use both hands — the second hand receives the motion.
Think: “From the mouth to the hand — it must be good!”
